促进民间文化交流，"甲骨文穿越"活动在沪举行

To promote excellent traditional Chinese culture and jointly explore the origin and evolution of oracle bone inscriptions over thousands of years, the "Oracle Bone Inscriptions Time Travel" series of activities organized by the Shanghai Oriental Reading Club was recently held in the Sanlin community of Pudong, Shanghai. The event attracted active participation from nine foreign guests from seven countries and Chinese entrepreneurs, creating a warm and culturally rich atmosphere.

As the first lecture, the event specially invited 90-year-old national treasure-level oracle bone expert Professor Wang Guisheng as the keynote speaker for the series. Coinciding with the Year of the Dragon, Professor Wang Guisheng brought 60 different oracle bone inscriptions of the character "dragon", meticulously interpreting the unique features of each character form and demonstrating them one by one. These "dragon" characters found in precious research materials such as the Kangxi Dictionary, oracle bone inscriptions, and bronze inscriptions demonstrate the evolution of font forms in different eras, deeply inspiring the Chinese and foreign guests present.

Professor Wang's passionate lecture, combined with volunteer Bing's precise translation demonstration, made foreign friends from different countries and cultural backgrounds understand intuitively, as if they had traveled back to the Chinese land thousands of years ago. At the event, foreign friends also copied the oracle bone inscriptions of the twelve zodiac animals under the guidance of volunteer Professor Mu Xiongzheng, personally experiencing the charm and wisdom of traditional Chinese culture.

Gu Shengxiaoniu, deputy secretary-general of the Shanghai Oriental Reading Club, said that more cultural activities will be held in the future to link friends from around the world and inherit Chinese culture. This "Oracle Bone Inscriptions Time Travel" activity is not only a cultural inheritance but also a bridge of friendship between China and foreign countries, allowing the world to better understand the profoundness of Chinese culture through the ancient writing carrier of oracle bone inscriptions.

After the event, foreign guests expressed that through this activity, they gained a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese culture, especially the historical value and artistic charm of oracle bone inscriptions, which deeply shocked them. They hope to have more opportunities to participate in similar cultural exchange activities in the future to further promote the mutual learning and integration of Chinese and foreign cultures.
